Change That Holds
Adoption is designed, not announced.
Every failed change has a great launch deck. The announcement lands, the town hall goes fine, and then the old way of working quietly reasserts itself, because the old way still pays.
Change that holds is designed around what happens after the applause. Four things have to be true at day 90. Sponsorship is still visible: leaders are seen using the new way, not just endorsing it. Enablement actually works: people can find the guide, the template, the training, at the moment of need. Decisions are logged: when the new model gets tested by a hard case, the ruling is written down and shared, so the model gains case law instead of exceptions. And the feedback loop is trusted: people can report what is broken without it being read as resistance.
None of this is glamorous. All of it is buildable. That is the point: adoption is a system you design, not a sentiment you hope for.
